Membership

What are the requirements to join FSFSWAN?

To become a member of FSFSWAN, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate capability across all standard forwarding modes (air, sea, road) both inbound and outbound
  • Carry Professional Insurance coverage
  • Have a minimum of four years in business operations
  • Have no listing(s) as a delinquent debtor on any recognized industry blacklist websites
  • Your home country must have a vacancy in the network
How do sole agency rights work?

Upon successful application, FSFSWAN grants sole agency over your home territory, provided it is available. This means you are the exclusive network representative for your country. Members may also book and pay for any available adjoining territory if desired. However, sole agency rights require adherence to network rules including regular AGM attendance and reciprocal business cooperation with partners.

What if my country is not currently vacant?

If we cannot offer you an immediate placement, you will be placed on our reserve agents bank waitlist for future vacancies. We maintain this list to ensure qualified applicants are considered when opportunities arise in their territories.

Can I join multiple networks within FSFSWAN?

Yes! FSFSWAN members may apply to join one of the network's internal sister networks. For instance, a PFI agent can seek membership in GSFN or Five Star. This internal flexibility allows you to maximize your network reach and business opportunities.

How does payment protection work?

FSFSWAN provides comprehensive payment protection and debt collection support to safeguard transactions between network partners. This protection program helps mitigate financial risks when doing business with other members, giving you peace of mind in your international transactions.

What support services are included in membership?

Members receive access to legal assistance, dispute resolution through our neutral council, debt collection support, a dedicated network mobile app, competitive pricing programs, regional discounts, loyalty awards, and referral rewards. We also provide fast response support and meeting management for annual conferences.

Meetings & Events

Are AGM meetings mandatory?

Regular attendance at our annual network meeting is a mandatory requirement for maintaining sole agency rights. The AGM is where members build relationships face-to-face, explore new business opportunities, and strengthen the global network community. Non-compliance with attendance requirements can result in the introduction of a second (dual) agent for your country.

When and where is the next AGM?

Our 2025 Global Summit, which is our 3rd Super Conference and 28th AGM, was held May 6th-9th. Future meeting dates and locations are announced well in advance to allow members to plan attendance. Visit our Meetings page for the latest information on upcoming events.

How much does membership cost?

Are there any hidden fees?

No. FSFSWAN operates with complete transparency. There are no hidden fees. All costs including membership dues, specialist network access (which is free), and any optional services are clearly communicated upfront.

How long does the application process take?

The application review process varies depending on documentation completion and verification requirements. Once we receive your complete application with all required documents, we aim to provide a response promptly. Our team will keep you informed throughout the process.
